Private AI.
On your device.
Joru builds day-by-day travel plans with an AI model that runs on your phone, using real places, maps and weather from open data. Change your mind and regenerate as often as you like — there is no meter running.

The questions that started it.
Planning a trip with AI usually comes with a meter running somewhere in the background. These are the questions we kept coming back to.
Do I need a subscription for a whole year to plan one or two trips?
Why is there a limit on how many plans I can generate?
Why do I have to buy credits or tokens to create or change another trip?
Why should using the AI more often cost me more?
Why do my preferences, destinations and itineraries have to be sent to an external server to be processed?
Why do I need to create an account before I can even start planning?
What if the AI could run directly on your phone?
That one decision changes the economics of the entire app. When the model lives on your device, generating a plan costs nobody anything to run — so there is nothing to meter, nothing to ration, and no reason for your travel plans to leave your phone in order to be understood. Joru pairs that on-device model with real, open travel data: the places are real, and the reasoning is local.
Your phone
AI model
Runs locally. Reads your trip form, arranges the day, writes the guide.
Never leaves
Your preferences, your itineraries, your budget and your notes.
Only what a map needs: a place name or a map area.
Open data
- OpenStreetMap
- Wikivoyage
- Open-Meteo
- Stadia Maps
Joru is not an offline app — it needs the internet to look up real places, maps and weather. What never travels is the AI part: your prompts and your plans. The privacy policy lists every service it contacts.
What that buys you
Privacy
Prompts that never leave
Your travel form and your itineraries are read by a model running on your device. There is no AI provider on the other end receiving them.
No metering
Generate as often as you want
Redo a day, change the pace, rebuild the whole trip. Nothing is deducted, because there is no cloud service charging for each plan.
No sign-up
Start without an account
Open the app and plan. An account only comes into play if you choose to sync your trips to your own cloud storage.
Economics
A one-time purchase that adds up
Running no AI servers keeps the cost of the app low, which is why Joru can offer a one-time purchase next to the monthly plan — instead of charging you per generation.
Plan more.Regenerate more.Keep your plans private. No tokens required.
You pay for Joru's Premium features — never for using the AI.
Real places first. AI second.
A plan is not one long prompt. Joru separates what has to be true from what can be written, so the itinerary still holds up when you are standing in the street.
- Facts
Straight from open data
Places, coordinates, area guides and weather come from OpenStreetMap, Wikivoyage and Open-Meteo — never from the model's memory.
- Maths
Computed, not guessed
Your budget, the order of the stops and how you get from one to the next are worked out by the app, not improvised — so the same trip always gives you the same route and the same figures.
- AI
Arranges and writes
The model on your phone chooses from places already found in open data, arranges the day and writes the guide. Every stop in your plan existed before the model said a word.
Your whole trip, on one screen.
A day-by-day plan with a real forecast and estimated costs, an interactive map of your stops, and a budget that tracks what you actually spend against the estimate.

Everything for the trip, in one place.
Once your itinerary is set, Joru points you to trusted partners to book each piece — right next to the stop it belongs to, never in the middle of planning.

What's next in Joru
Joru has only just started. These are some of the improvements planned, so that planning, sharing and enjoying a trip gets even simpler.
The roadmap will keep evolving with new ideas and, above all, with your feedback.
- No servers
Share trips easily
Send a trip to family or friends straight between devices, or as a .joru file — never through a Joru server.
Whoever receives it opens it in Joru and reads the whole trip, which makes organising a plan between several people far simpler. Sharing stays a matter between your phone and theirs.
A packing checklist that knows your trip
Pack with a list that adapts itself to where you are going.
Destination, length, dates, weather, planned activities and who is travelling could all feed into what to bring — and help you keep track of what is already in the bag.
Trip history and versions
Change your plan without losing the itinerary you already liked.
Joru could keep several versions of a trip, so you can compare what changed and go back to an earlier plan after editing or regenerating your itinerary.
A travel mode that earns its name
Joru does not want to be only the app where you prepare the trip.
Once you are there, the idea is a day-by-day companion: what is on now, what comes next, maps, weather, timings, budget and quick access to whatever you need at that moment.
These are some of the ideas planned for Joru, not a commitment to dates. The content, scope and priority of the roadmap can change as the app grows and your feedback arrives.
